Later than usual, this Music Monday is a lullaby by French world music formation, Deep Forest. It is a lullaby called Rorogwela in Baegu language, the native language of Solomon islands.
Rorogwela is about a boy who comforts his younger brother after the loss of their parents.
This song was huge back in 1992. I remember hearing this for the first time with my friends. We were hypnotized as the language sounded so exotic. And now, 23 years later I still love it. It rocks me to sleep sometimes.
