Entering the old town of Sintra, you can’t miss this white palace with two cone- shaped chimneys. This is Palácio Nacional de Sintra, National Palace of Sintra.
Located 27 km west of Lisbon, Sintra is good for a day trip. Sintra is so special because there are a number of palaces, castles, mansions, gardens, monasteries and even a fort there. No wonder this town is one of UNESCO World Heritages.
One of Lisbon’s hotspots is LX Factory. Tucked under the Ponte 25 Abril (25 April bridge), it is a creative hub filled with cafes, restaurants, startups, galleries, concept stores, music halls and many more.
Every year on the last weekend of July there is a summer carnival in Rotterdam. This carribean style carnival starts on Tuesday and ends on Saturday with a parade through downtown Rotterdam.
