Arnhem turns pink, that is the slogan of my work welcoming and organising the start of the cycling race Giro d’ Italia. The citydressing consists of pink t-shirts hung on the line in the main shopping streets, inspired by the washlines in Italy, pink bikes and pink fabric or knitting wrapped around the trees.
The fountains’ water is pink as well, safely and environmentally friendly coloured with beet juice.
Most shops show their participation too by dressing their display in pink.
The start on 7 May and finish on 8 May went smoothly. On both days I was on duty for the online communication and that meant that I didn’t celebrate Mother’s Day today properly but I was glad to work. It was one great experience!

And here are some impressions of the race.
Arrivederci Giro d’Italia!
