Loyal readers of this blog know I am a foodie. When I travel I gladly visit the local markets for the food, fresh ingredients and local specialties. On the second day in London, I headed to Borough Market. These are pics I took there. Get ready to scroll down.
Borough Market offers fresh vegetables, oils, jams, cheeses and cold cuts. This market has been featured quite often in BBC Good Food channel which I regularly tune on.
Mustard, pickles, vinegar and other condiments. I love the antique cabinet, it is lovely, isn’t it?
Drinks section, first Mulled wine.
Mead, read the description on the barrel.
Then there is of course, food. This is the burger joint.
Syrian mezze, you name it, it’s there: labneh, dolmades. humus, tabouleh etc…etc..
Not pictures: tacos, pulled pork with apple sauce in brioche bun, scallops, Spanish tapas, sushi, Indian curry, Malaysian curry and many more. The choices are abundant and multicultural.
In the surroundings there are some pubs, pastry shops, bakeries and restaurants as well.
