This winter has been mild, very mild compared to the winter of the past 5 years. In The Netherlands there has been no snowfall so far. Unlike the freezing temperature exactly a year ago, I feel like I am having an endless autumn now.
In this seasongram I show you the pics I made and shared on my Instagram account yoyen2008 starting from December 2013.
The shot of Kasteel Bemmel on one sunny morning at December 10.
On the following day I took this picture of Duivelshuis in Arnhem during my lunch break. The sun shone its light.
Strolling on the second Christmas day 2013 in the woods. It was gloomy at the end of the day but it was not cold in the winter, only 10 degree Celsius. There was no snow.
Newly renovated Rotterdam Central Station at 3 January. It is black and white. The natural light reflected on the lines in the hall invited me to take this shot.
Me standing next to the canal in the hood. My daughter G took this pic. Unbelievable that the temperature was so mild I could wear the poncho instead of a winter coat. I usually wear it in September/October. Btw, I proudly wore the thin batik wrap skirt with stockings beneath it.
11 January, My niece’s pet was outside in the garden.
Presikhaaf Park under threateningly dark sky at January 13.
Biking to the city after work last week I saw this beautiful golden light at the Lauwersgracht Park, Arnhem. I needed to stop and captured this.
Now the nature is confused. My neighbour’s Cherry Blossoms start to bloom which normally happens in March/April. This was taken last week end.
If the snow would fall I will of course share another seasongram. If not, untill the next one in the Spring!
